Adult Postsecondary Education in Michigan

Introduction

The Michigan Center for Adult College Success is charged by the state (MCL 390.1705a) to serve as the state’s primary resource for research, support models, and best practices on ensuring adult enrollment and completion of college degrees and certificates. The “Adult Postsecondary Education in Michigan & Beyond” report is the first of many efforts by The Center to fulfill that obligation. The report provides an overview of the states of adult postsecondary enrollment and completion in Michigan, highlights barriers faced by adults, and promising solutions to address those barriers. Additionally, the report contains a road map of future actions that The Center will undertake to build on this work in fulfilling our statutory obligations.
